Internship Program

John Charles Properties, LLC Internship Program: “Building blocks to build the future, together”

The Academic Intern Program:  College students hired through a formal program that gives academic credit in exchange for work experience.  This is a 10 week, 400 hour program.  John Charles Properties seeks talent from colleges and universities. Please check with your University about how to apply for a credited summer internship.

 

If you are currently an undergraduate looking to gain experience with a real estate investment company, we offer internships that allow you to see for yourself what John Charles Properties, LLC is all about.  Being an intern means more than getting involved in the day-to-day running of the company.  As an intern, you'll get exposure to real projects and challenges in a vibrant environment and gain real world experience. And you'll work with the brightest and best in the local industry and participate as a member of the workforce of a company with a stellar reputation that is constantly growing to meet the demands of housing in an ever-growing population.

Through this experience you will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain professional experience with rental property management and residential housing remodel flip projects.

  • Work & learn from experts in the field.

  • Expand your network of like-minded professionals and gain connections to carry through to your professional career in business.

More specific duties under these growth opportunities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work in the office to gain real world office experience handling calls, logging rental information and filing paper work both financial and work check lists for other employees.

  • Experiencing project coordinating of building and remodel projects both hands-on and as a representative with details of dealing with independent contractors, and problem solving.

  • Marketing of properties through advertisements, fliers, signs and social media use, showing potential tenants & buyers properties and answering questions.

  • Maintenance work – understanding the process of maintaining and upkeep of properties.

  • Coordinating schedules and time frames of projects.

  • Sitting in at meetings with material suppliers, real estate agents, bankers and contractors, negotiating purchases and real estate closings.

  • Basic office chores as needed.
